In 2021 the congregation of St. Stephen Episcopal Church in Plainwell bravely and faithfully discerned that God was calling them to close their building for worship. Some of the members have attend worship at Hope and some have joined the congregation becoming the Episcopal expression of our congregation. They have brought many gifts and blessings including their community diaper ministry. The ministry provides child & adult diapers, feminine hygiene products, & wipes at the former St. Stephen Church building. Giveaways are the first Monday of the month from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. & the third Monday of the month from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. In addition to providing regular donations of diapers, hygiene products, Hope also puts together monthly “Baby Bags.” These bags are given away to those who come to the give aways and have a newborn baby. Bags contain extra wipes, helpful items for newborns, and a board book to encourage childhood reading and bonding time.
